I came across this earlier so said i’d post it. I was trying to prepare my cluster to use with NSX and i was getting the failure below.
On further investigation i found that the vCenter Server Managed IP wasn’t set. In the Vi client to check this go to Administration > vCenter Server Settings > Runtime Settings and set the Managed IP Address to that of your vCenter
In NSX click resolve and hopefully this should complete the vib install
