How to apply a hotfix to Avamar Virtual Edition

I am running EMC Avamar Virtual Edition 7.2 and need to apply a hotfix to resolve some bugs.

Note this process is disruptive to Avamar services.

Here are the steps

Connect to the Avamar Virtial Edition (AVE) using WinSCP

Copy the required hotfix to /data01/avirepo/repo/packages

 

Browse to https://ave-fqdn/avi and login with the AVE root credentials

Click Install

Click Continue
